ABOUT THE REBOOT

In a peaceful town with a peaceful forest...

Around March 2025, we decided to REBOOT the project, obviously for plot reasons and also because, unfortunately, the artistic style was not very popular with the team. SO!

We revamped everything! Music, art, plot, and made it magnificent. (Or at least that's what a mad scientist would say, right?)

I'm really excited to show you what we've been working on so far, without revealing everything, of course! Halloween seemed like the perfect theme to start with, and for the occasion...

I dressed up as a vampire! BLA BLA BLA!

Blood? NO!!! I WANT ZE KETCHUP!


AND...FOR THE SEASONAL CHARACTER REVEAL...

THE GENERAL!

This mean robotic dog will follow you around from the very 1st chapter! Its mission? To get that-

S-STOP RIGHT THERE BUDDY! I-IT'S MY TIME TO TALK NOW, AIGHT?!

I-I WON'T BE YOUR DOG TO T-TAKE OUT, NOR YOUR B-BEST FRIEND. ALL I WANT FROM Y-YOU IS...

A N-NICEY COSTUME!!! W-WRAH WRAH WRAHAHA!

Joking aside, this character is personally one of, if not my favorite from Chapter 1! And since I'm nice, I'd like to share with you some fun sketches we made during development.

BUT REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT...?

LUCK! SOLD AT $77,77!

The game's development is progressing steadily. We don't have any real deadlines, but we're still aiming to have something concrete ready for 2026.

In addition, I found that writing dialogue and plot is something really enjoyable to do, so here's a glimpse of what the dialogue will look like in the game!

He's back at it.

What's more, this summer I've had the chance to work on lots of things, including a prototype and even a primitive version of the battles!

For now, I can only show you one image related to this...(Don't worry, the next Dev Log will focus more on battles!)

The battle will be very intense, requiring timing and technique! So crack those knuckles and get busy. I'll love seeing people pull off “no-hit bosses” or “complex battles without healing” videos...

At the moment, we are all working on various goals to be achieved by the end of the year.

Obviously, we are also thinking about the plot and some concepts for the next chapters, while keeping in mind the DEMO and its release!

HOW THE DEMO WILL RELEASE

My plan for releasing the DEMO of THE GEM Chronicles will be fairly straightforward.

PLAN:

Once we know for sure that the build is complete, a page will be created on Kickstarter, where you can download the DEMO directly and, if you like, pay a contribution towards the release.

After that, with the campaign closed and hopefully successful, the DEMO will be released on Steam and subsequently on other platforms.

And finally, we will work on completing the chapters! Obviously, this will take some extra time, but it will be worth it!

Well, what can I say? The future looks very exciting, and I CAN'T wait to show you what I've had in mind for at least two years...

Of course, the journey will be long and winding, but I know that with the strength that the team and you give me, we will reach our goal!
